Our Wakeham Strawbale House will be a part of this year’s San Diego Green Building Council Green Homes tour! The tour is from 10am – 4pm throughout San Diego County on Sunday, October 22nd. The Wakeham residence, designed in 2016, is a 1,600 sq. ft, two-story strawbale home in Solana Beach. The posts are owner-selected timber from Washington with clay plaster interior walls and lime-based exterior plaster. Greywater and rainwater catchment are used, and it utilizes passive solar orientation along with the strawbale’s R-30 high-insulating values. Check it out and join the tour!
