This 1600 sq. ft, two-story strawbale home in Solana Beach, California is reaching its final stages in the construction process. Owner-selected timber from Washington state serves as posts and the cast-on-site concrete window sills have been installed. The exterior lime-based plaster is completed and the clay plaster on the interior will soon cover the rest of the strawbales. Kitchen and bathroom finishes will follow shortly after.
