We just found out about another great incentive program from the San Diego County Water Authority. If you have been thinking of replacing your lawn, now is the time!

The Water Authority’s WaterSmart Turf Replacement Program offers an incentive of $1.50 per square foot to eligible customers who replace existing water-intensive turf grass with water-efficient landscaping. Customers may receive up to $3,000 for residential properties and up to $9,000 for commercial properties. This program is funded by grants from the California Department of Water Resources and the federal Bureau of Reclamation. Incentives will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis until the grant funds are gone. Pre-existing turf removal/replacement projects are not eligible.
