It has been one year since the devastating LA fires. From January 7th to 31st, 2025, 14 fires raged across Southern California, killing 31 people and destroying around 13,000 homes and other properties.
We know how hard it has been for those of you who lost your homes, and our hearts are with you.
We have been working diligently to receive permits for new residences to be built and have obtained permits for 2 projects in the Los Angeles area. We wanted to take a moment to show you the drawings and 3D images of one of them while the next steps take place.
In Malibu’s Palisades neighborhood, a fire-rebuild coastal home will set a new standard for resilient, sustainable living. This carefully planned single-family home will be constructed using ICCF (Insulated Composite Concrete Form) blocks – an innovative building system made from fully recycled Styrofoam mixed with concrete, creating a 4-hour fire rating assembly.
A subtle butterfly roof will introduce a modern aesthetic while aiding natural water drainage and advantageous angles for solar panels.
Large sliding glass doors off the living room will extend the livable space to the outdoors, where there will be a patio for every occasion and raised planter beds for edible and native gardens.
This project will not only be a home for a displaced family but guaranteed peace of mind with its fire resistive qualities and lower carbon footprint to endure climate instability.
Our supplier for ICCF is Perfect Block. Learn more about this material on our website here and on their website.
