What is limewash?
Limewash is a textured paint made from crushed limestone that is fired at very high temperatures, mixed with water, and colored with natural pigments. Lime paint has a lot of history even dating back to Roman times.
Benefits of using limewash:
- NON-TOXIC: Limewash is a natural product made from lime, water, and pigment.
- DURABLE: Limewash can be used on both interior and exterior walls and can last for many years.
- REMOVES ODORS: Limewash acts as an air filter, removing odors (and carbon dioxide) from the air.
- HYPOALLERGENIC: The alkaline pH of limestone makes limewash resistant to mold and bacteria.
- AESTHETICS: Limewash creates a natural, old-world feeling bringing warmth into interior and exterior spaces.
- CUSTOMIZABLE: Limewash comes in any color and can be textured to your liking.
