What is a foam core sandwich panel?
- Pre-fabricated recycled expanded polystyrene (EPS) panels framed by welded wire space frame
- EPS is strong, light weight, and known for its thermal insulation properties
- Field-applied cement (shotcrete) after panels are put in place
What are the benefits of this material?
- DESIGN VERSATILITY: Can be used to building floors, ceilings, and roofs, and can easily form unique shapes and curves.
- FIRE-RESISTANT: Have a 4-hour fire rating.
- HURRICANE-RESISTANT: Are able to resist 200 mph winds and are common in hurricane prone locations like the Florida and the Caribbean
- DAMAGE-RESISTANT. Termite and insect resistant because no wood in used.
