The Americas Foundation

The Mission of the Americas Foundation is to help people living along the US-Mexican border educate and develop their impoverished communities. Back Country Land Trust

The Back Country Land Trust is a homegrown, nonprofit land conservancy, dedicated to preserving and enhancing natural, scenic, and cultural areas, working farmland, and watersheds that make San Diego’s back country thrive. BCLT purchases land from willing sellers, accepts donations of land that fit within our project priorities, and manages our conservation properties for all to enjoy as passive recreation areas. www.bclt.org

Citizens Coordinate for Century 3

C3 is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of informed citizens who are interested in planning issues, preservation, and the revitalization of downtown San Diego. C3 offers a comprehensive approach to growth management by encouraging open space, high standards of urban design, and coordination of planning between public and private sectors so that San Diego’s continuing development will complement its natural setting. www.c3sandiego.org

The Earth Discovery Institute

The Earth Discovery Institute is an educational program and facility being developed at the Crestridge Ecological Preserve to give students from nearby Granite Hills High School (and eventually other schools) a place to learn about the natural world outside of a classroom. www.earthdiscovery.org

Ilan-Lael Foundation

ILAN-LAEL is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts education foundation creating a space to connect people, art and nature for a more sustainable and harmonious world.  They create hands-on opportunities to celebrate the built environment for its potential to help us see ourselves and our world in new ways. Pacific Rim Parks

The Pacific Rim Park Project is a nonprofit organization that has as its mission the creation of friendship parks around the Pacific Rim as a means of fostering understanding and goodwill. During these month-long, hands-on projects students from various Pacific countries design and build a park overlooking the ocean. Peace Resource Center

The PRC is a community clearinghouse of information on peace and social justice issues and activities.
